The Housekeeper provides a clean and safe living and working area for patients and staff well within established guidelines, following procedures for safe and sanitary living conditions. The Housekeeper works within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations.
Damp wipe with a germicidal solution: chairs, tops of bedside cabinets, lamps, windowsills, etc.Clean all horizontal surfaces daily with a disinfectant to remove dust, dirt, and greasy film.Empty and wash ashtrays, empty and clean wastebaskets, reline wastebaskets with plastic liners.Empty and disinfect garbage cans, reline with plastic liners.Clean tubs, shower stalls, tub room floors and fixtures daily.Clean and sanitize bathrooms. Clean sink of soap and other articles.Clean and hose down entrance mats when needed.Clean offices, treatment rooms, patient rooms, lounges, and waiting areas as assigned.Wash windows, sills, doors, and damp clean air vents in bathrooms on a regular basis.Keep cleaning equipment in good working order, replacing damaged equipment when necessary and keeping all equipment clean and tidy.Always maintain housekeeping closets.Transport soiled linen to proper storage area.Disinfects all soiled linen containers, reline with plastic liners.Assists in the storing of clean liners.Maintains clean and sanitary condition in immediate work area.Completes all tasks as assigned
