With 1,100 guest rooms and 118,000 square feet of event space spanning three floors, the hotel is a top choice for hosting large-scale meetings, conventions, and social gatherings. We are seeking a Senior Event Manager to join our team and manage large groups of 500+ peak, working with high-profile clients to create unforgettable events.

Ideal Candidate:


  • Experience: 2+ years of hotel events experience, handling complex and large-scale events.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to manage high-profile events and build lasting client relationships.
  • Qualifications: Ability to handle large groups and multiple events simultaneously, with a focus on guest satisfaction and financial success.

Shift Pattern: Various - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As Senior Event Manager at Washington Hilton, you will be responsible for executing written sales agreements for large-scale, full-service meetings, conventions, and events. Your role will focus on ensuring exceptional guest service and driving financial profitability for the hotel. This position handles complex events with a primary focus on large groups of 500+ peak attendees. Key responsibilities include:


  • Executing sales agreements for large, full-service events, conventions, and meetings.
  • Negotiating business proposals and contracts to close deals, ensuring a win-win situation for both the hotel and the client.
  • Designing creative menus and event concepts to maximize both revenue and the guest experience.
  • Maintaining relationships with corporate and social accounts, ensuring repeat business and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinating event logistics in collaboration with the Sales team, other hotel departments, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
  • Managing event documentation and ensuring consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases.
  • Handling the turnover process from Sales to Service and back to Sales, ensuring all event details are accurately communicated and executed.
  • Maximizing revenue through upselling opportunities and offering enhancements to create memorable, outstanding events.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for clients during their events, ensuring that all their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service throughout their experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site inspections and assisting with the sales process as needed.
  • Working closely with hotel departments such as Catering, Banquets, and Operations to ensure the successful execution of each event.
  • Monitoring event performance to ensure alignment with financial and guest satisfaction goals. #LI-AT3
