  • The project scheduler will work as an integral member of the program management team creating, updating, and maintaining the integrated program schedule using Microsoft Project.
  • Works with project managers to identify and manage project schedule risks, issues, and resource constraints.
  • Monitors and reports progress variances to baseline.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of detailed schedules to support their assigned projects.
  • Ensure issues are escalated to the proper decision-making authority in a timely manner so that decisions can be made that minimize impact to critical path.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are compliant with Program and Project Management Standard.
  • Lead effort for establishing the baseline schedule, establishes schedule best practices and management, risk identification, metrics identification and reporting processes.
  • Perform schedule analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
  • Resource load and update schedule status and assess schedule risk using the schedule and schedule related metrics.
  • Work with Project Managers to identify schedule dependencies and ensure those are clearly linked across the program.
  • Determine critical path activities and forecasted completion dates.
  • Facilitate updates and reporting process for assigned schedules ensuring schedule variances are reported timely and impact is mitigated.
  • Using the Microsoft Project Server application, creates and manages the PMO Portfolio integrated master schedule, which is comprised of multiple individual project schedules for projects of various sizes.
  • Ensures critical path activities are identified, maintained, and accurate.
  • Collaborates with PMO project managers to update the schedule on a regular basis.
  • Produces reports from the schedule for review with PMO leadership.
Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of direct work-related experience, Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Program / Project Management certification preferred (i.e. PMI, PMP, PgMP) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with excellent teamwork and influencing skills, ability to manage ambiguity, think independently, prioritize, make decisions/recommendations, and perform objective analyses.
  • In-depth knowledge of project-management schedule management software applications (i.e., MS Project, MS Project Server/Online, MS Project Professional).
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence and Tableau preferred.
