POSITION PURPOSE

The SR. Talent Acquisition Partner assists hiring managers in finding and screening candidates for hire; supports the hiring manager and TA Manager in recruitment planning, advertising, screening, and evaluating recruiting efforts. The Senior Partner will provide Strategic support to the hiring managers and provide best hiring practices within their division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's CORES values at the forefront.
  • Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Manages Onboarding Process and mentors TA Coordinator to ensure timely hires.
  • Identifies and implements expert level recruiting methods and strategies based on the available roles, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Primary owner of the more challenging, complex roles in the organization
  • Engages in creative sourcing efforts to ensure quality, quantity & diversity in the applicant pool.
  • Plans, coordinates, attends recruiting events, including those hosted by Sunland.
  • Collaborates with department managers to understand the department's plans and objectives.
  • In partnership with Sr. TA Manager:

    • Identify partnership opportunities and ROI along with associated cost, if applicable.
    • Initiate, build and develop relationships with recruitment partners.
    • Assist with Compliance initiatives (EEO-1, AAP, VETS 4212, Site Signage etc.)
    • Attend community meetings, events, and activities.
    • Partner with Talent Development on educational partnerships.
    • Investigate marketing efforts used by other employers within and outside of our industry.
    • Reporting & Analytics - creation, translation (identification of trends/messaging) and distribution.
    • Keep abreast of news announcements, trends, forecasts, etc. that may impact the job market.
    • Develop strategies to engage passive job seekers.
  • Determines applicant requirements by understanding the job duties, qualifications, and traits of successful candidates; identifies and drafts detailed and accurate job descriptions, job models, and hiring criteria.
  • Builds applicant sources in all company regions through employee referrals, employee networks, social media, and candidate pipelines; manages, coordinates, attends, and networks at career fairs and hiring events; research and contact community services, colleges, employment agencies, labor services, temporary and area recruiters, employment agencies, advertising agencies, media, and internet job hunting sites.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, social media, contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites; provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits; collaborates with marketing to develop and promote employer-branding strategies as a best place in the world to work.
  • Administers requests for creating new positions.
  • Administers candidate activity in the applicant tracking system and application/resume files and retention according to company policy; screens applications and maintains a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need by screening applications, analyzing responses, comparing qualifications to job requirements, and administering pre-employment surveys; evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; assists hiring managers in interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Creates employment offer packages and communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, confidentiality, non-compete agreements); notifies support departments of employee's starting date and the requisition being filled.
  • Manages employee referral program, tracking, reporting, advertising, social media placement and program training.
  • Completes periodic reports on employment activity as directed.
  • Facilitates topics in orientation of new employees, in classroom and using webinar and A/V technology.
  • Assists with Spanish-speaking employees, translation of documents from English to Spanish, and training in Spanish.
  • Ensures compliance and avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, conducting training programs for managers designed to improve recruiting, hiring, and interviewing skills, and reduce turnover.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes human resources and organizational mission by completing related projects and producing results as needed.
  • Assists with new employee onboarding paperwork as needed.
  • Assist in mentoring Talent Acquisition personnel.

Physical Demands and Work Environment


  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
  • May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

POSITION TYPE/ EXPECTED HOURS


  • This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel


  • Ability to travel, when necessary, approximately 10%.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience


  • 10 - 15 years of relevant Talent Acquisition experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent, preferably in human resources; or two years' relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of applicant tracking software, webinar and A/V technology.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., able to speak, read and write English.
  • Bilingual fluency desired, particularly the ability to speak, read and write in Spanish.

Certifications, Licenses, and Requirements


  • CPLP, AIRS, PHR or other relevant, professional certifications are a plus.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
