Senior Buyer, Chemicals



We're looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team! In this role, you'll manage and purchase process chemicals and minor raw materials for Mosaic's US operations in Central Florida and Louisiana. You'll also drive cost-saving initiatives, participate in negotiations, and build strong vendor partnerships. Your responsibilities will include developing relationships with internal stakeholders, validating supplier pricing, monitoring deliveries, and resolving invoicing inquiries with AP/AR. Additionally, you'll keep an eye on supply issues that could impact production, the environment, or employee safety. You will thrive in this role if you are passionate about safety and have a customer-centric mindset.



Where will you work: This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to work three days in the office and 2 days remote. You are also eligible to participate in our 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. You will work onsite at our North American Business Headquarters in Fish Hawk (located at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive Lithia, FL)



What you'll do:

• Create and manage process chemical and raw material purchase orders that are used within production at our North American facilities
  
  


• Communicate with site stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements.
  
  


• Identify, attain, and record cost savingsthrough project-based work
  
  


• Build lasting vendor partnerships and work with business units and other resources to develop and enhance overall purchasing strategies
  
  


• Collaborate with suppliers and Mosaic's accounting team to ensure invoices are paid per contract agreements
  
  


• Maintain purchase agreements for your assigned portfolio
  
  


• Expedite orders, address shipment inconsistencies and handle freight arrangements
  
  


• Pursue and report cost saving opportunities and process improvements.
  
  


• Attend meetings and discussions, collect data, prepare reports, travel to site, and participate in Strategic Sourcing projects.
  
  

• High School Degree/ GED
  
  


• Purchasing andManufacturingexperience
  
  


• Inventory Management experience
  
  


• 5+ years procurement experience
  
  


• Excellent communication and people skills
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration
  
  


• ISM (Institute for Supply Management)
  
  


• SAP and Ariba experience
