Job Description:

DHHS Public Health Division is seeking a Program Coordinator (C73260) to be a single point of contact between providers, project sponsors, and grantees to provide services to people living with HIV in Nebraska.


Job Duties:
•Review Medical/Dental/Mental Health invoices
•Adjudicate Insurance Claims
•Engage with participating and out-of-network providers to coordinate services
•Review care plans for eligible clients before the provision of services
•Develop and monitor implementation of the Annual Action plan for the Grant
•Coordinate follow-up and investigation of past claims in partnership with medical case management staff and provider offices
•Monitor expenditures and budgets, plan a new budget each program year, track expenditures per funding source



Requirements / Qualifications:




Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field OR experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community-based health/social care groups. Related coursework, training, and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or a closely related degree

  • Prior experience working with medical insurance claim submission or adjudication, complying with federal grant activity guidance, and monitoring client services in a healthcare setting




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Experience working with medical claims, federal grants, or contracting and sub-awards


  • Public Health experience, insurance adjudication experience
