What you will enjoy doing*


  • You will be responsible for the strategic sourcing, commercialization, supplier development, purchase and contract management of Electrical Equipment (Motors, Switchgear, MCC, Electrical Drives, Transformers and Devices) supporting industrial plant applications

  • Further, you will be collaborating with LE strategic sourcing team to create, maintain and negotiate local and/or global frame agreements consistent with Linde Engineering product line strategy and business interests

  • Supporting projects at preparation of Project Procurement Strategy / Project Procurement Plan and the selection of suppliers for bidder lists is part of your role

  • Using available forecasts, understand and identify all corresponding risks and opportunities and obtain best in class supplier price and delivery performance is part of your function

  • You will conduct timely review of all proposals and ensure most competitive opportunity is included in capital project proposal estimate. Facilitate technical & commercial TCO evaluations with stakeholders

  • Moreover, you will actively manage key suppliers and foster strategic relationships creating a competitive advantage for Linde Engineering

  • On top, of this you must establish KPI's with Key suppliers to effectively drive supplier behaviors, you will also lead supplier measurement process with relevant Engineering, Operations and Business input

  • In addition, you will lead negotiations for supplier back charges and claims


What makes you great


  • You have a Bachelor'sdegree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; MBA desirable

  • You also have 5-10years' experience as a Commodity Manager of a Procurement organization withglobal procurement responsibility, or Project Management in a globaloperating engineering company or combination of related experiences

  • Experiencewith ERP business system is required for this role

  • C.P.M.(NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager) and CPIM (APICS Certified in Production andInventory Management) strongly preferred

Acts as the liaison between Global / Regional Suppliers and our Internal customers (Linde Engineering, Global COE, Global Plant Operations Global Hydrogen, and Research & Development) management. The Commodity manager creates winning solutions through knowledge of the industry, collaboration on market opportunities, use of frame agreements (FA's), introduction of new supplier options, knowledge of equipment and ability to deliver results through high impact negotiations.

Salary Pay Range: 88,875 USD - 154,050 USD
