Summit Energy Services, Inc. seeks a Software Architect in Louisville, KY.

Job Description: Architect enterprise solutions based on REST-based APIs. Design micro service-based architectures using domain-driven design (DDD), CQRS and Event Sourcing patterns. Develop firmware for leading edge analog and communicate (wired, and wireless) sensor portfolio products. Gather product functional requirements, define proper firmware behavior, and implement firmware modules. Integrate 3rd party sensors (Temperature, Humidity, VoC, PM, CO2) libraries into our platform and work with the vendors directly on understanding how their sensors work and the algorithms they use. Work closely with other developers and teams to ensure proper interoperability of our sensors with our controllers and software solutions. Work closely with verification and validation team to ensure full test coverage, and quick closure of reported firmware defects. Recognize technical firmware debt, propose mitigation options, and execute based on business priorities. Clearly document code functionality and organization using best practices. Work with technical support to diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues. Champion process improvements to increase quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Participate in agile planning events including Scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Demonstrate ability to work with cross functional and global teams, with the ability to align and bring best in class processes, coding standards. Work closely with other developer leads, managers, architects, and test teams, gather requirements, prioritize development efforts and deliver business value.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's related experience in software development, software engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Building scalable, resilient applications using Azure (Azure - Azure Storage, Azure Functions, CICD, Service Bus); Implementing User Security and Single Sign On in web and mobile applications using SAML2.0, WS Federation, OAuth2.0, OIDC, JWT, Azure Active Directory B2C and Microsoft Entra ID; Creating and maintaining reusable NuGet packages for use across different teams and projects; Qlik Data Exploration, Identity and App Integration; Architecting, designing and implementing single page applications and microservices using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Web API Development, SQL Server, NoSQL Databases, and Cloud computing; Designing solutions using service-oriented architecture principles; Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Identity Framework, SAML2.0, OAuth2.0, OIDC, .NET 6.0; Developing applications in the energy and sustainability domain, and the environmental, social, and governance domain; Coordinating different project teams for achieving project goals, including working with offshore team members across different time zones; Directly interacting with customer IT teams to integrate systems (through APIs, SSO, Data feeds); and Providing training and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
