Are you an experienced Superintendent with a passion for ground-up institutional projects and based in South Carolina? Hays is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to lead our clients' exciting $75M ground-up project in Lancaster, SC.
Your new role
As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for the ground up structural phase, right through to project completion.
Project Oversight: Ensure construction activities align with the project timeline and design specifications. Monitor progress to meet established deadlines.
Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring they fulfill contractual obligations.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and report project status to stakeholders.
Issue Resolution: Address any construction process issues or delays promptly.
Risk Management: Implement strategies to minimize project risks.
Effective Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other specialists. Track project costs and maintain construction budgets.
What you'll need to succeed
Ground up construction expertise (5 years+).
Concrete experience.
Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Live within driving distance of Lancaster, SC.
