Your Role:
Lead, hire, develop, and manage a team of chemists and laboratory scientists.
Oversees the analysis and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to determine their chemical and physical properties.
Delivers QC operational performance. Ensure QC capacity and capability is in place to meet demand, ensuring all vital testing is carried out.
Provides analytical knowledge and support to the Quality Control team for troubleshooting issues, complex situations and oversees the delivery of initial and ongoing training and mentoring.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
Leads and directs the introduction of new technology, coordinates and leads initiative to ensure that Quality Control remains contemporary and driven.
Is accountable for ensuring safety and compliance is understood and maintained across the QC labs.
Uses knowledge to support regulatory inspections and client audits.
Manages laboratory equipment, supplies, and maintenance activities.
Provides technical expertise and guidance on analytical methodologies and instrumentation.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
4+ years of experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
2+ years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with analytical techniques, such as UPLC/HPLC, GC, titrations, and spectroscopy.
Masters Degree in Chemistry.
9+ years of experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
Experience with Product Quality, Quality Control Lab Operation and Regulatory requirements, including FDA, cGMP, and ICH guidelines.
