The Medtronic Diabetes organization is looking for a Software Technical Program Manager to join our Software Operations Organization to in the defining of priorities for evolving our Shared Services platform as a product by balancing the inputs from internal and external stakeholders.

The Software Technical Program Manager will work as the liaison between the system level program management team and the customers of the platform including software product owners, software developers, operations teams, and other business customers. This role is responsible for aligning the software release timelines and version scope to give the team a clear direction and report to the business and customers.

In general, the following responsibilities apply for Software Technical Program Manager role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
• Lead daily standup sessions for 1 - 2 projects
• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Product Development, or Product/Program Management
OR
Advanced Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Product Development, or Product Management

Nice to Have
• 3+ years' experience in product management, program management, product development or related field.
• Lean Mindset and proven experience around 'Build, Measure, Learn (repeat)'
• Demonstrates ability to problem solve
• Team oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers.
• Medical device product/industry/technical acumen
• Proven ability to work globally
• Strong analytical and process skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$150,400.00 - $225,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
