Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Training Specialist I (Full-Time), to join our Primary Care team in Orlando, Florida.

Nemours primary care practices provide a kid-friendly, family-centered pediatric primary care experience for families in Central Florida. With 18 primary care and three urgent care practices conveniently located throughout the region, we provide quality, professional pediatric services with special attention on preventive care and whole-child wellness.

The Training Specialist I will be responsible for developing, conducting and coordinating various training programs/workshops for Nemours' employees. Also responsible for providing support to others as they develop training for their work groups or our employees and guests.


  • Conduct workshops incorporating the principle of adult learning including but not limited to discussion, in class exercise, case/scenario analysis, etc. This can also include:

    • Providing formal training to end users on medical and office automation systems.
    • Mastery of proprietary software applications and clinical & business practices to meet departmental training needs.

  • Provide support in all ways to departments/customers based on training initiatives/programs.
  • Support the efforts of others in developing and preparing to deliver classes/workshops. This includes but is not limited to scheduling classroom space, arranging for AV equipment, rentals, and the layout/production of training materials.
  • Coordinate classes/workshops sponsored by Training and Development but conducted by other members of the organization.
  • Provide feedback to participants and facilitators on their performance.
  • Interpret user needs and develop classes/workshops aimed at satisfying those needs.
  • Conduct, summarize and report measures of training effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records for all classes/workshops conducted.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum one year of experience required.
  • Must have written and verbal communication skills.
  • Training/Classroom experience preferred.
  • Medical group practice experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in HRD or related field preferred.
  • Must have the ability to travel to multiple locations.
