Job Title: Production Technician I




Job Summary:

The Production Technician I is responsible for unpacking, labeling, testing, calibrating, and repacking instrumentation according to the production schedule. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, validates new product procedures, and supports engineering changes. The technician will also assist with maintaining a clean and compliant production environment and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).



Key Responsibilities:



  • Inspect, test, label, and package instrumentation products.

  • Verify that production products contain the correct components and quantities.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of tested instruments.

  • Ensure production areas comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) checks on instruments following SOP guidelines.

  • Validate new products and engineering changes as part of forward-production initiatives.

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, including software logs and hardware failures, to management.

  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace by properly disposing of hazardous materials and waste.

  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing production areas.

  • Manage waste disposal, including recycling and trash, in compliance with company procedures.

  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently when required.

  • Accurately log work hours, including overtime, holidays, sick leave, and personal time, for payroll purposes.

  • Assist in training new personnel and temporary staff as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Preferred: Associate's degree in Science or Electronics Technology, or 2+ years of relevant experience with electronic instrumentation.

  • Ability to troubleshoot production-related errors and issues.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Capable of identifying problems, gathering data, and drawing valid conclusions.

  • Proficiency in using company email systems.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to contribute to and support a collaborative environment.
