BGIS is currently seeking a Lead Maintenance Technicianto join the team in Seattle, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Maintain Building Systems

  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
  • Assist with ancillary building systems necessary to keep systems operating at peak performance with minimal downtime.
  • Receive direction from Lead Facility Engineer or Facility Manager.
  • Maintain facility equipment as indicated by preventative maintenance plan.
  • Provide general building maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades.
  • Identify/Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
  • Forward high-level technical maintenance to appropriate resource.
  • Escalate issues to Critical Environment Leadership/Management Team as needed
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance activities at various facilities, requiring driving of vehicle to different sites.
  • Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.
  • Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repair.
  • Receives, tracks, monitors, and reports status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database.
  • Participates in and assists with facility-related projects.
  • Ensures the manner in which work is performed is in compliant with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and any other applicable requirements.
  • Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.

Customer Service
  • Respond to customer service requests.
  • Monitor service requests in work order management system.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients.
  • Respond to off hour emergency calls.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to oversee and ensure work meets BGIS standards.
  • Back-up the Critical Environment Leadership/Management Team as point of contact for clients and project teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

Recommended Education, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Two or more (2) years of experience with building /facility operations or training equivalent.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience or knowledge of with maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
  • Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Respond to off hour emergency calls.
  • Two years of experience with building /facility operations or training equivalent.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience or knowledge in maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.

BGIS is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. BGIS has different pay ranges for different work locations within the United States which allows us to pay team members competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location.

The salary range for this non-exempt position in the US is $35.00-45.00 per hour.

A candidate's salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
