A distinguished law firm located in Pittsburgh with a national reach in Bankruptcy & Restructuring, Creditors' Rights and Business Law is seeking a Paralegal to join their Creditors' Rights practice group.
Responsibilities:
Assist Attorneys with: All aspects of creditor's rights cases, including managing case files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Document Management: Draft and organize various legal documents, including, but not limited to, pleadings, motions, summary judgments, discovery requests, and responses.
Prepare trial materials: including trial binders, witness lists, and exhibit lists. Communicate with courts and clients when needed.
Handle miscellaneous tasks related to the creditors' rights practice, such as working with firm software, working with the firm's accounting department, and coordinating with other team members.
Qualifications:
Experience: Paralegal degree or paralegal certificate preferred.3 years of experience in a law firm. Experience in debt collection, foreclosure, and/or tax collection weighed heavily.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
Proficiency: Legal research and case management software: Pro-Law and Collection Master preferred.
