Role Summary:

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Life Sciences Product Management team. At RLDatix, a Product Owner is responsible for the implementing the product vision for our market-leading Life Sciences software products. As a Product Owner, you will be relentlessly focused on working with stakeholders to ensure the delivery outcome focuses on the right items to meet the customer demand. You will need to understand the users of the RLDatix software solutions, you will need to identify areas for possible improvement and work across the entire software development ecosystem to drive the best results for our customers.

As a key part of an Agile software delivery organization, the Product Owner plays a critical role in the overall outcome. Working closely with the Product Manager, the Product Owner must be able to understand the product vision and be able to interpret that vision for the scum teams and customers alike. As the key decision making on priorities, the Product Owner must be able to keep a clear view of the required outcome when difficult decisions are required. An effective Product Owner has a strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, while also being able to interpret customer needs into technical solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery outcomes of the agile software delivery team
  • Accountable for alignment between vision and outcomes
  • Accountable for ensuring customers’ needs are met by the delivery outcome

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the product strategy and vision, both at a high-level and at a detail level, ensuring the ability for the software delivery process to meet the intended outcome
  • Complete understanding of how the product is utilized by our customers, including a deep understanding of different user personas and their relevant compelling reasons for adoption
  • End-to-end ownership of the software delivery processes from requirement definition through to production use
  • Creation of clear, concise and accurate requirements and user stories to ensure the features of the product roadmap meet the product vision and customer need
  • Understand the technical architecture and solution design of the product, to ensure that resulting features are performant to the customer needs
  • Work with relevant stakeholders (Engineering, UX, Product Management) to establish the feature design, ensuring the solution as designed meets the customer’s stated need
  • Act as primary point of contact for scrum teams to clarify requirements, manage issues, and agree on solutions
  • Prioritize feature backlog during the software development process, adapting the feature investment during the delivery process to maintain the customer value
  • Measure and manage the product defect backlog, providing a single source of customer impact representation in the prioritization of defects
  • Own the broader understanding of features and issues within the RLDatix customer-facing teams, as well as the customers themselves

· Establish yourself as a true owner of the product, a point of contract and a trusted resource of both the delivery and market-facing teams

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred

· 2+ years of product owner work experience

  • Keen understanding of software and technology, with sufficient technical acumen to provide strong ownership
  • Strong customer-engagement skills, with the ability to engage with customers at varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
  • Highly detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders within a given project

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience in Life Sciences industry compliance function is a plus
  • Experience building AI/ML products is a plus
