TK Elevator is seeking a Warehouse Worker IV- Maintenance Technician in Olive Branch, MS.
This position will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the automated storage and retrieval systems and support the various warehouse task required for the day-to-day operations. Included is the set-up, understanding of the functionality and maintenance of the material handling system. As well as the coordination in maintaining other facility assets and structural needs
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Knowledge and warehouse material handling systems - conveyors, pick to light, automatic put-away and retrieval systems,
Capable of setting up and following a daily maintenance schedule including documentation and recording of out of tolerance equipment
Parts replacement so to ensure a continuation of operations
Maintain the spare parts inventory for the mechanical systems
Working with warehouse management software
Coordination and scheduling of quarterly maintenance activities with the contracted maintenance company
Identify and record areas of potential improvement for recommendation of system improvement and maintenance as suggest by the contracted maintenance company
Inspect workplace environments, activities, and conditions to verify health, safety, and environmental compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, company-specific, etc.)
Ensure designed safety protocols are met and identify and report potential safety hazard
Manages outside contractors, technicians and vendors
Responsible for all facility maintenance requirements including all lift equipment
Accurately Pulls, Packs, Ships, and Receives materials for all customers orders per established work processes
Assembles kits for stocking purposes as required
Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion according to 6S standards
Performs other job duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required with technical degree preferred
2 or more years work experience in a maintenance position preferred in an automated warehouse or manufacturing facility.
Heavy electrical and mechanical operations experience
Heavy understanding of software driving a WMS and the correlation between the two.
Maintenance log documentation and control
General knowledge of PLC's and conveyor systems
Setting up and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule
Working with external contractors
Willing to execute and follow all safety protocols
Warehousing experience is a plus
Experience with the functionality of a warehouse automatic material handling solution
Facilities maintenance preferrable in a warehouse environment
Standard forklift operating experience is required
Requires excellent dependability, the ability to multi-task and must work effectively without close supervision
Demonstrated experience of working in a fast paced, high stress environment
Preferred knowledge of elevator and escalator parts
Requires lifting parts weighting up to 50 pounds; operates lift truck for moving heavier materials
A proven record of consistent and fair enforcement of facility rules, policies, regulations
