Leads Technicians will also be assigned to day-to-day work activities listed below in addition to normal technician duties.
Conducting quality control, ensuring that all work performed under his/her supervision is done in a timely and cost-effective manner and in accordance with applicable codes.
Establish, implement, and supervise periodic Janitorial Agent schedules and procedures.
Manages inventories supplies and equipment.
Investigates and implements new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
Technician Responsibilities:
Sweeping of curb areas throughout all shifts
Ensure trash cans are emptied and liners replaced.
Clean exterior of trash receptacles
Clear ashtrays and smoking areas of all trash
Ensure benches and seating areas are kept clean and free of debris.
Remove gum, stickers, and spills from the curb in a timely manner.
Spot mopping of any dried spills / dirt during off days for pressure wash Cleans building floors by sweeping, moping, shampooing, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Prepares requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment needed for cleaning.
Prepares cleaning solutions to include mixing water and detergents in containers in a safe manner and in accordance with chemical specifications.
Lifts and carries cleaning equipment, cleaning trays and cases of supplies to service the area. Uses power tools/equipment to clean facility.
Checks inventory to ensure there is an adequate supply of items needed to clean area.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications/Pre-requisites:
Must be a local (in-state) resident.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen same day as interview.
Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 without sponsorship now or in the future
Must complete fingerprinting ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
Must be able to carry heavy items throughout the airport.
Must be comfortable walking and standing long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED.
