Description: Our client, a leading company in the gaming industry, is currently seeking a Visual Designer to help shape player experiences by leveraging their expertise in design fundamentals such as layout, typography, color, and illustration. This role requires a creative individual who can collaborate across disciplines to solve both artistic and technical challenges while focusing on delivering engaging visuals that resonate with players.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Design and manage user interfaces for in-game screens and features using UMG (Unreal Motion Graphics UI Designer) in Unreal Engine.
Collaborate with teams from various departments to execute creative content in line with the project's overall vision.
Produce visually appealing, well-organized designs that prioritize clarity, user hierarchy, and platform-specific requirements.
Handle image creation, including compositing, digital illustrations, branding, and icon development.
Develop and expand design guidelines to maintain consistency across different themes and project elements.
Balance adherence to design standards with the ability to innovate and break the rules when appropriate.
Constantly experiment with new design techniques and push beyond conventional styles to ensure creative evolution.
Review design work to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Design adaptable and scalable layouts for multiple platforms and visual styles.
Maintain high-quality standards for all design work and collaborate with teams to meet these expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Hands-on experience working with Unreal Engine's UMG and creating digital design, UI, and visual content.
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive design solutions.
Ability to manage design projects from the concept phase to completion, ensuring alignment with creative objectives.
Experience in developing and maintaining design frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.
Proficiency in graphic design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, and illustration.
Skilled in digital image creation, including compositing, branding, and iconography.
Ability to stay ahead of design trends while innovating and pushing creative boundaries.
