Position: PPE Room Attendant

Pay: $23.26/hr + shift differential

2nd shift Differential 75 cents

Primary Duties

Respirator/ PAPR cleaning and maintaining, perform surface checks on the plant and office areas, perform skin checks as assigned and scheduled.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

• Daily disassembly, cleaning, drying, and bagging of respirators and PAPR in accordance with schedule agreed to by plant management.


• Replace any damaged parts on PAPRs as needed during cleaning cycle.


• Check and replenish de-lead wipes on the employee cleaning station.


• Check and replenish chemicals used in cleaning machines.


• Perform daily surface checks on office and plant floor spaces.


• Perform skin checks on employees on list posted by EHS in accordance with the schedule agreed to by plant management.


• Maintain organization and cleanliness of ‘Janitor Room’.


• Notify EHS of unusual or reoccurring circumstances going on with PAPRs.


• Communicate daily with EHS on status of skin checks of employees on the list.


• Observe and communicate safety issues with EHS and plant management.


• Maintain records associated with the tasks above, and turn them in to EHS tech on a routine basis.

Additional Duties:

• Will perform other miscellaneous tasks and works under specified routine or explicit instruction as directed by supervision within the scope of the job classification.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment


• Comfortable working 12+ hour days.


• Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.


• Ability to work in a hot environment.


• Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.


• Basic computer skills.


• Basic math, reading and writing skills.


• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.


• Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.


• Must be able to wear required PPE.
