Join our team now as a Lean Continuous Improvement Manager (PM) supporting our Operational Excellence and Project Management workstream within SCM as we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably. This is a highly visible and influential role intimately involved with systemic improvements and transformational lean endeavors of the business. With a focus on hands on and deeply engaged lean leadership and project management, this role supports improving and transforming how we manage our processes through operational excellence.


Your role:




  • Facilitate, lead, and participate in initiatives including projects and workshops

  • Provide day to day support for HPS continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of value adding tools throughout the assigned area of responsibility

  • Utilize statistical tools to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions and control procedures to ensure consistent and sustainable results aligned with business goals

  • Integrate Lean tools and concepts (coach/role model) into the way the organization solves problems and the various areas of operations to the build skills and capabilities of others

  • Develop and drive project plans utilizing advanced planning and lean tools like Agile and / or waterfall charts and value stream maps to visually identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements, flow optimization, and waste elimination

  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and cooperation to drive a deliberately developmental environment that is both psychologically safe and inclusive

  • Effectively manage projects to both establish and achieve clearly defined goals by implementing contingency and mitigation plans

  • Exemplify data-based decision making with proactive project risk assessments and well-defined project plans including budgetary and resource requirements for success

  • Assure strict compliance to standards, laws, and regulations

  • As a corporate steward, lead by example using our corporate values to provide support when called upon for varying business requirements

Your expertise:




  • 5+ years of experience managing Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement projects

  • BS/BA in a related field; Master's preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of supply chain, quality, or manufacturing environments

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with advanced listening and mentoring capability in a highly matrixed organization without authority

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and drive change management required

  • Self-motivated with an internal drive to pursue personal growth directed at ensuring the continued success of the group

  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification; OEE, TPM, and specific knowledge application preferred.

  • PM certification

  • Strong process focus to facilitate and communicate process improvements effectively required

  • Experience working in a regulated / FDA environment

  • Practical application of flow analyses, process control techniques, and manufacturing systems including but not limited to automated systems, semi-automated systems, and software and controls with a focus on packaging equipment

  • Understanding of GMP manufacturing; certification preferred

  • Willing to travel up to 10% to vendor or other plant sites
