Position Overview
This position will be responsible for Finance and Controlling of the Molecular Imaging (MI) Product Lifecycle Management and Business Improvement Controlling and carry responsibility for a significant R&D budget. Position will report directly to the MI CFO and be responsible for all controlling activities, people management, and handle complex projects/activities due to the broad product range (Hardware and Software) and various R&D locations. Position will ensure achievement of goals and objectives; provide expert analysis and evaluations on financial controlling, accounting, cost and trend reports in order to improve the results of the organization. The role directs the development of short- and long-range financial goals and objectives for the business. This role is responsible for directing the organization regarding an optimized allocation of funds with the target of maximizing MI's Profits. This goes along with improvements in methods, procedures, and overseeing MI's global productivity program.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility:
Directs the accounting and financial functions of a medium to large division to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
Provides expert analysis and evaluations on financial, accounting, cost, and trend reports to improve the results of the organization.
Directs the development of short- and long-range financial goals and objectives for the business
Directs the organization regarding financial and accounting functions as well as other business segments and recommends improvements in methods, procedures, and content of accounting output, which will increase profits.
Specific job tasks and functions:
Overall control of PLM cost and capital allocation
Planning and controlling, lead the budgeting process, as well as the forecasting and operational activity control.
Manage and develop talent team of MI FI PLM.
Work with MI Business Performance Controlling and SHS NAM Accounting on reporting and accounting issues.
Process control of financial operations at PLM and the decision of investment.
R&D project controlling in terms of business case, standard cost, development cost, intangible capitalization rules and accounting.
Work with other segments to ensure the MI product roadmap, product costs, as well as accounting treatment and MI profitability.
MI PLM productivity controlling
Work with PLM groups of CT, MR and D&A to ensure projects costs are achieved and delivered on time
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field
Team manager experience required.
Ability to interact and be a trusted partner with Sr. Management and C-level within a large organization.
Experience working with SAP, R&D and managing a small to medium size team.
Position can be located in either Knoxville TN or Hoffman Estates, IL and requires occasional travel.
Individuals with specific R&D Controller experience will be given preference.
Knowledge of Medical or Diagnostic Imaging manufacturing is also a plus.
