Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement Specialist (Full-Time), to join our team in Florida or Delaware.

This is a remote position.

The Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement Specialist serves as a lead revenue cycle representative to build and develop strong interpersonal relationships with key Hospital and Practice stakeholders across the enterprise. Find and quantify revenue cycle opportunities for improvement by translating raw data analysis into actionable projects that mitigate waste, decrease bad debt, increase cash collections, and reduce errors/defects. Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive and sustain process improvements across the revenue cycle.

This position provides direct support to the Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement Manager in the Delaware Valley, for projects relating to Hospital, Practice and Enterprise-wide initiatives. This position is tasked with improving how issues are communicated with leadership, and how accounts receivables are analyzed, with a particular focus on automating manual work when possible. In addition, the Revenue Cycle Performance Specialist will provide enterprise-wide support to Revenue Cycle communities, leading enterprise-level meetings, and work with a wide range of departments in order to resolve problems.


  • Identify and implement emerging technologies and strategies for managing accounts receivables, shifting from reactive to proactive management. Lead and facilitate revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and lead the enterprise revenue cycle community, ensuring associates have access to timely, accurate, and actionable data. Educate associates about the revenue cycle and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Offer analytic capabilities to determine, rationalize, and prioritize revenue cycle improvement projects, ensuring all analyses are accurate, timely, and actionable.
  • Utilize reporting tools to analyze outstanding accounts receivables and identify opportunities for improvement throughout the revenue cycle. Investigate issues, develop actionable insights, and effectively communicate these to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of Epic PB and/or HB Resolute and possess strong knowledge of analytical tools such as Qlik, Epic reporting, and Excel.
  • Coordinate enterprise resources to support revenue cycle improvement projects and initiatives, providing project management support.
  • Actively participate in revenue cycle process improvements and collaborate with payors, Managed Care, the Central Business Office, and operational leadership to communicate and resolve issues.
  • Work with the Operational Financial Management Team on projects involving accounts receivables, monthly financial reporting, report and app development, as well as data analysis and interpretation.
  • Partner with the Financial Innovation Specialist on cross-departmental projects that directly impact the bottom-line margin.
  • Perform additional tasks related to special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required.
  • High level analytical and Excel skills required.
  • Experience with reporting (Qlik Sense, etc.), EPIC resolute PM and/or HB experience required.
