The Surety Program Specialist’s primary purpose is to support underwriters through the entire life cycle of bond submissions within particular lines of business as requested by the VP of Surety & Fidelity. This position works closely with underwriters during the submission, review, renewal, and closing phases of a bond as outlined by the VP Surety & Fidelity.

Requests/analyzes additional or missing underwriting info directly to agents.
Shows familiarity with special underwriting programs and production commission deals with individual agents.

Prepares billings, adjustments, and other info for submission to processing department.
Checks weekly to be sure all Rapid bonds sent to processing have been booked properly.

Begins renewal process by requesting info from agents based on schedule dictated by program or bond type.
Performs ImageRight file maintenance.
Follows up with renewal info based on schedule dictated by program or bond type.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SURETY PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Education/Credentials
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
Two years’ experience in an office environment
Technical/Professional Knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level customer service focus; keen sense of urgency
Good research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and ImageRight systems

This position is primarily a sedentary position that requires occasional standing and walking throughout the office environment.
Must be able to see and effectively use a computer monitor.
Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard and applicable printers and other general office equipment.

Must be able to hear and communicate via the telephone and/or monitoring devices to both internal and external clients.
Must be able to present information to individuals and groups.
