Who are we looking for?

A candidate with experience performing laboratory procedures for testing and reporting of manufactured items or customer solutions.

What will you be doing?

  • Follow written analytical procedures for testing of manufactured concentrates or customer solution samples, including Plating tests, Volumetric and Gravimetric analysis, Instrumental analysis, etc…
    • Perform calculations associated for the test results.
    • Enter samples, test results etc… into WinLIMS data management system, review and validate results.
  • Communicate status of testing samples to Supervisors and Laboratory staff.
  • Submits results for approval to the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager.
  • Validates established methods.
  • Troubleshoots and makes recommendations concerning product quality
  • Store hazardous materials in the proper locations and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
  • Work with Quality Assurance personnel to investigate any product quality issues.
  • Use and promote the Six Sigma methodology
  • Emphasis on 5-S
  • Attend required HSE training including Hazardous Waste Management, emergency response, and Hazard Communication, and demonstrate an acceptable level of understanding of topics.

Who are You?

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in chemistry or related field
  • Experience with instrumentation, preferably HPLC, IC, ICP, TOC and UV
  • 5+ years of laboratory experience, preferred
  • Proficiency in performing manual titrations.
  • Knowledge of instrumental analysis.
    • UV/VIS Spectrophotometers
    • Autotitration
    • pH Meters
  • Working knowledge of gravimetric assays.
  • Working knowledge of computer software.
    • Office Software: Excel, MS Word, Lotus Notes
    • Laboratory Software: LIMS systems, Minitab

  • Greater than 5-years' experience
  • Green Belt Trained
  • Electroplating Proficient (Stress, Hardness, Sulfur)
  • Ability to work with coworkers to investigate any analysis issues
  • Able to operate equipment and follow procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Follow safety procedures
