The Challenge:

Effective and secure communication is critical to the success of modern military operations. As a Radio Subject Matter Expert (SME) with JCTM, you will play a vital role in supporting Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) by ensuring the mastery of tactical radio operations, training, and procedures. This includes employing field-expedient antenna techniques, configuring tactical radios, and instructing personnel on advanced communication technologies to maintain mission readiness.

Challenging Projects:

As a Radio SME, you will provide expert instruction and evaluation on radio operations for systems such as the PYQ-10 SKL, KIK-11 TKL, AN/PRC-163 NGHH, AN/PRC-167 NGMP, AN/PRC-117G, and AN/PRC-160 tactical radios. You will also play a critical role in developing and refining formal and informal training programs using the Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (MCISD-SATE) model, ensuring that communication teams are prepared for any mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Radio Operations: Provide expert-level instruction and operational support for tactical radios, including the PYQ-10 SKL, KIK-11 TKL, AN/PRC-163 NGHH, AN/PRC-167 NGMP, AN/PRC-117G, and AN/PRC-160 systems.
  • Training & Curriculum Development: Develop, refine, and deliver training programs in accordance with the Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (MCISD-SATE) model.
  • Antenna Employment: Employ and instruct personnel in the use of field-expedient antennas to ensure secure and effective communications in diverse environments.
  • Communication Systems Expertise: Provide guidance on tactical radio systems setup, operation, and troubleshooting, ensuring continuous communication readiness.
  • Certifications & Instruction: Maintain and apply United States Marine Corps (USMC) Basic Instructor Course Certification to all instructional activities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate knowledge in IP-based computer network routing and MS Office applications to support both radio operations and training needs.

You Have:

  • SECRET security clearance.
  • 4 years of military experience related to radio operations and training.
  • Expert-level knowledge of tactical radio systems including the PYQ-10 SKL, KIK-11 TKL, AN/PRC-163 NGHH, AN/PRC-167 NGMP, AN/PRC-117G, and AN/PRC-160.
  • USMC Basic Instructor Course Certification.
  • Experience with Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (MCISD-SATE) model for curriculum development and instruction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic IP-based network routing.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with formal and informal curriculum development for radio systems.
  • Understanding of MARSOC’s operational requirements and how they relate to tactical communication needs.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. SECRET clearance is required for both levels.
