Job Summary
The Oldcastle Architectural Products Group (APG) is seeking an Operations Development Manager to lead our Operations Performance System (OPS) team, to continue to drive operational improvements across APGs ~180 plants in North America. OPS is focused on implementing an integrated set of initiatives to maximize production efficiencies, drive financial performance and employee satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement OPS tools related to Performance management, Preventative maintenance, Production planning, Labor scheduling, Roles and Responsibilities
Coach employees and lead training sessions on the OPS tools and best practice processes
Coach site leadership on best practices in conducting shift, daily, weekly and monthly performance discussions
Train and coach site leadership in financial review and development of plan to improve overall profitability
Application and tool development
Business process improvement
Other duties as required
Job Requirements
Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to various sites/companies usually Monday-Friday
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field including engineering, management/finance or IT
3+ years of demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in operations or related field
Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
Communication skills that work with both a frontline manufacturing environment and senior leadership
Ability to facilitate and influence change
Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach
Be action oriented and drive for results
Have strong planning and organizing skills
Work well in a team and build relationships
Financial understanding and working knowledge of P & L
Very strong analytical skills - ability to analyze data and communicate findings
Project management skills a plus
