Job Title: IT Network Lab Tech
Duration: Contract
Location: Santa Clara, CA


Scope of work:
* Install / remove equipment in lab racks based on ticket assignment
* Make copper or fiber cable connections based on ticket assignment (1G, 10G, 40G+; LC or MPO)


Technical skills
* VMware ESXi installation & basic troubleshooting
* Ubuntu OS installation
* Server troubleshooting: wont boot, RAM or HD installs
* Networking knowledge/concepts of: ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls


Qualifications:
- Open minded, "can do, will do" attitude
- Work independently as well as part of a team, and able to evaluate a situation and execute the best.
- knowledge and skills in VMware, Ubuntu, networking understanding/concepts (ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls), fiber & copper cabling.
