Infosys is seeking a Python Technical Architect. You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing, and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
The role holder should be able to research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability; contribute expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases. The candidate requires strong knowledge and experience in developing architecture vision, strategy, and end-to-end solutions for complex business problems.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Jersey City, NJ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

RequiredQualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Application Development role.
• Experience in developing architectural vision and strategic solutions.
• Experience with modernizing and migrating applications to strategic architectures
• Experience in Python technology.
• Experience in programming in Pandas, PyTest and UnitTest.

PreferredQualifications:
• Experience in Leading, Managing a development team of at least 7/8 individuals.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and/or Test-Driven Development environment.
• At least 4 years of experience in frameworks like Django, Flask.
• Experience with DevOps practices such as Pipelines, CI / CD, and SonarQube is preferred.
• Expertise in building solutions with domain driven design (DDD), API, microservices, event-driven architecture and cloud native principles.
• Expertise in modern languages (e.g. Java), messaging, integration and data streaming technologies (e,g, Kafka, MQ, etc..), caching & database (RDBMS and NoSQL) tools, application development framework (e.g. Spring boot, .NET), well architected framework, data integration solutions, software architecture patterns, and tools
• Banking/Financial/ experience is a plus

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements. This position does not offer remote working.
