Responsibilities:
Act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
Perform complex system level troubleshooting to component level
Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
Lay out, build, calibrate, adjust, install and maintain equipment, components, devices or systems
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Ssecret Clearance
Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions
Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices
