Responsibilities:
Design and fabricate equipment that be used in the development and manufacture of tactical hardware.
Fabricate electro-mechanical assemblies (and sub-assemblies) to Engineering drawings.
Read blueprints and create custom metal chassis.
Determine the metal stretch with respect to the metal type and bend radius required.
Provide the opportunity for the candidate to work as individual contributor, in a team environment.
Collaborate with Engineers, and other members of the Fabrication team including other Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors.
Use several computer based programs that will update job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering changes.
Work CNC Machines and Lathes.
Qualifications:
3 year of experience in sheet metal fabrication environments.
Must be able to read blueprints and create custom metal chassis.
Must be able to determine the metal stretch with respect to the metal type and bend radius required.
Ability to fabricate test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.
Ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers.
