Traylor Bros., Inc. has an opening for a Senior Field Engineer 2 at 835 North Congress Ave., Evansville, IN 47715. 40 hrs/wk. 9am - 5pm. M-F.

Responsibilities: Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and supervising construction projects by planning, organizing and controlling day-to-day tasks; Work with sub-contractors and field engineers to complete quality inspections; Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects; Provide critical information about the current status of a project and accurately estimate how it will finish from a cost and revenue perspective from where it started; Work closely with Walkers/Superintendents regarding project planning, field leadership, work plan development, submissions, and approvals; Conduct recurring team meetings to stay aligned with expectations and goals of a project; Manage complex material supplies and draft scopes of work for subcontractors; Develop work plans and hazard analysis plans for crews to safely execute the work; Understand and promote innovation for cost and schedule improvements; Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety standards, and productivity goals; Perform complex construction designs - SOE, Hydraulics, PLC, Marine, etc.; and Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering, or foreign degree equivalent, plus 5 years of post-bachelors progressively responsible experience in heavy civil engineering and/or infrastructure construction engineering positions; OR Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering, or foreign degree equivalent, plus 3 years of experience in heavy civil engineering and/or infrastructure construction engineering positions. Experience must include: Planning, designing, and overseeing construction of infrastructure projects, such as bridges, ports, dams, and/or underground systems; Managing complex material supplies and draft scopes of work for subcontractors; and Analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
