The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Neurology has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Research Associate 1 to work at the UHealth Medical Campus.
Core Job Summary
The Senior Research Associate 1, SOM provides laboratory-based support for the University's research activities by tackling the more specialized and complex projects and experiments. Additionally, the incumbent leverages his/her expertise in training and mentoring department staff, students, and less experienced research associates.
Core Responsibilities
Collects, analyzes, and presents research data.
Monitors and maintains relevant research databases to ensure accurate data entries. Understands and interprets research protocols and procedures.
Participates in the publication of significant results to include authorship of scientific monographs.
Advances expertise through continued education, training, and research.
Department Specific Functions
The Stroke Division has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Research Associate 1 to join a very active clinical research program with multiple ongoing research studies. The Sr. Research Associate 1 will work closely with other members of the research team including research coordinators, the principal investigator, the statistician, and the data managers
Assists in the development of concepts for project data visualization (i.e., infographics)
Assists in the development and implementation of project-specific trainings, surveys, and focus-groups
Participates in data collection from project-specific surveys and questionnaires
Assists in the development of content for project research publications including literature searches
Participates in the local meeting project presentations including the development of presentations
Contributes to the development of content for project update notices to be disseminated to stakeholders
Assists in the development of project reports and IRB compliance

Core Qualifications
Master's Degree in relevant field preferably in Public Health
No experience required. Two(2) years of professional experience is preferred.

Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
