Senior engineer with strong powershell/scripting automation skills required. Experience of Windows server, Hypervisor infrastructure (VMware) ,Cloud (Azure and 365), Identity services and migrations and common tools within a fast moving dynamic environment also desirable. Key focus on modernisation and automation writing scripts and tools using powershell essential as well as Ansible. Expectation to be able to be a technical lead and contribute to strategy and technical roadmap across various areas. The successful applicant must have a track record of being a tech lead on projects. Able to work alone or as part of a team, self-starter with initiative. They will need to think on their feet to find solutions to problems as well as input into long term strategy and roadmap for products. Automation and relieving day to day BAU is key (thinking/working smarter). They will be joining a team responsible for both BAU ticket type work and Engineering/Architecture work with split responsibilities between these areas but a heavy lean to architecture/Engineering for this specific role.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and improve the Windows and Vmware server infrastructure and related services including Cloud services and Virtualisation platforms. Focus on improvement and modernisation via scripting. Heavy use of Ansible for builds and automation. Project strategy and tooling. Will be technical lead on assigned projects as well as taking care of BAU tasks. Should have an eye on streamlining tasks via automation to improve efficiency within the team. Ensure the health of the estate and services provided to the business. Should also be looking to improve process and procedure within the team as well as being well read/researched in their technical fields with an eye on the future.

Essential skills:
Strong powershell and automation
Ansible for Windows Server Automation
Self managed tech lead
Azure experience including feature sets around SaaS, Azure AD and Identity management and similar
VMware and associated tools such as VROps
Windows Server all levels to tech troubleshooting
Active Directory in complex environments (multi domain, multi forest)
Identity management
Good documentation skills
Track record of introducing/improving processes within their area
Solid understanding of BCP/HA options and strategy
Desirable:
Migration tools and experience using Quest or similar tooling across cloud and on prem platforms
Linux/Unix skills and awareness
Office 365 and Exchange
C# or other comparable coding experience
Powerapps skills: power automate/PowerBI/Powerapps
Good understanding of HP/Dell server hardware and options
OneView
Mail hygiene such as Proofpoint/MS ATP or similar
Understanding of mail flow and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and engineer accordingly
Quest and associated migration tools
AWS exposure

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 100,000 to $ 150,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
