Sales Support Representative at Vallourec

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 



  • Receive inquiries from customers, establish selling price via company pricing policy, prepare and submit tender/ quotation proposals in a timely manner to customer with a high focus on securing the order.

  • Follow up on tender/ quote to determine if they will become orders or lost sales. Provide feedback to management and outside sales for further follow-up.

  • Develops good relations with distribution to assist them in promoting our products and services.

  • Maintains quote, order and backlog files and records per company policies.

  • Maintain required department documents such as specifications, price list, customer account list, and any other controlled documents issued on sales.

  • Performs accurate and thorough order entry and assures proper contract review has occurred for each order.

  • Support receivables department as required to ensure payment terms are adhered per contract.

  • Communicate with customers timely to maintain customer satisfaction throughout job.

  • Provide liaison between outside sales, manufacturing, and customer by keeping close contact with prospective clients throughout sales cycle.

  • Provide manufacturing with a complete and concise order package to ensure all customer requirements will be provided.

  • Assists Sales Management in developing forecast reporting and meeting company targets.

  • Represents the Sales Department on various high-level projects or work groups.

  • Assists Sales Support Manager in maintaining SOPs and Work Instructions.

  • Evaluates order entry systems for accuracy and suitability.

  • Coordinates with distribution on delivery of material, when needed, for active orders.

  • Provides after hour assistance, as required, in support of customer service.

  • Perform job functions in accordance with Vallourec USA Corp’s. Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Participate in Vallourec USA Corp. Employee training programs as required.

  • Fully and actively participate in the corporate QHS&E policies to promote a safe work environment for all employees.

  • Comply with Vallourec USA Corp. dress code policy for the high level of visibility at the regional corporate headquarters

  • Completes any other duties as assigned by Sales Management staff.

     Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field is preferred

    • Commiserate relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree


    Preferred Skills and Knowledge:



    • SAP and ERP system experience


    Computer Skills:



    • Knowledge of MS Office products, i.e. Word and Excel.  Advanced organizational skills to allow for the easy retrieval of files and documents.
