This position is onsite 3 days per week in Northridge, CA

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, debugs and implements applications, automation framework components, software tools and utilities

  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel

  • May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs

  • Develops test tools and scripts designed to test and detect problems in software applications and systems

  • Works with development teams to analyze software defects , determine verification methods, implement automation system improvements

  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, processes, or testing requirements

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering or Sciences field and 4+ years of experience

  • Or, 2 + years or experience wit h a master ' s degree

Nice to Have:

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, C/C++

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented development approach and software design patterns

  • Ability to become familiar with unknown codebase in a reasonable time

  • Fluency in test automation

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Embedded software development experience

  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy technology

  • Experience in Networking protocols, Multithreading

  • Experience in BLE Networking

  • Experience with debugging, profiling, and optimization

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$120,000.00 - $180,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
