Job Type: 1 year contract with possible extensions
About the Role: As an IT Project Manager, you will lead and manage the overall strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects to meet business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes, while managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain project artifacts such as charters, budgets, schedules, status reports, change management plans, and RAID logs.
Coordinate and collaborate with IT, operations, and business units.
Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.
Monitor and track project progress, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Manage project budgets and track expenses.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement corrective actions.
Provide guidance and mentoring to project team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in an IT project management role.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
Excellent team management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and technology solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passion for learning and growth.
Ability to apply new skills quickly and handle ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services industry and consulting.
Demonstrated consultative mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
