*Seeking a Driver Manager Assistant*

Job Summary:
Perform dispatch duties, filling in for Driver Managers when they are out of the office. Dispatch local drivers while ensuring they operate within the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory guidelines and company policies to deliver containers safely and on time.

Job Duties:

In the absence of a driver manager, must direct and supervise activities of the local drivers to confirm load completion and update dispatch related databases and spreadsheets in a timely manner to prevent delays in container deliveries and payment for deliveries.
In the absence of a driver manager, schedule drivers to ensure on time deliveries, pickups and appointment times are kept while reducing bobtailing. Ensure drivers are operating within DOT regulatory guidelines and company policies.
In the absence of a driver manager, maintain an open line of communication with the export and import customer service representatives and respond promptly and professionally to ensure local deliveries are completed and delayed time is avoided and/or billed.
Ensure all loads are organized, have correct driver notes, and load cards printed for all next day Import deliveries.
In the absence of a driver manager, encourage and dispatch drivers to ensure each driver maintains current productivity goals.

Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or As Scheduled
Pay: $20 Hourly

Requirements:

Must have intermediate computer skills to navigate and update Truckmate database and Microsoft Office.
Must possess clear and concise verbal communication skills and be knowledgeable of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) regarding hours of service.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
