Assist in the analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data related to soybean nodule development. Work in collaboration with PhD student to apply bioinformatics tools for the data analyses. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Data Preprocessing: Work closely with PhD student for data processing including quality control and normalization of single-cell RNA sequencing datasets.
30% - Essential - Bioinformatics Analysis: Collaborate with PhD student and assist in applying bioinformatics tools and pipelines (e.g., Seurat, Scanpy) to analyze single-cell RNA sequencing data, focusing on gene expression patterns within soybean nodules followed by cell annotation
20% - Essential - Differential Expression Analysis: Assist in conducting differential gene expression analysis to compare various cell types and experimental conditions.
20% - Essential - Effectively communicate all analysis results and methodologies to the PI.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School or Equivalent Work Experience 1+ years in a related health care setting or in a clinical or research laboratory setting; or 12 semester hours of academic training in biology and/or chemistry; or registration as a Certified Laboratory Assistant by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or an equivalent registry; or successful completion of a formal program of instruction for laboratory assistants at a hospital or academic institution.

Education - 1st Master's Degree - Biology, Bioinformatics or related field Work Experience 2+ years with programming languages such as R or Python.
