The iconic Waldorf Astoria is seeking an Executive Pastry Sous Chef to join the leadership team at this award-winning Las Vegas property!
Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, this luxurious hotel has 389 rooms, 6 food and beverage outlets, and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. This includes a 3-meal restaurant, fine dining restaurant, tea lounge, bar, pool cafe, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will oversee a small department, between 5-6, full time Pastry Cooks and report directly to the Executive Chef.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience working in a professional pastry kitchen. Creativity is key in this role photographs of previous work is preferred to be submitted with resume.
Participates in pastry production. Creates/prepares/produces/bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets. Decorates pastries/cakes with creativity and skill. Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff.
As a Pastry Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef to hire, train, supervise, schedule and participate in activities of chefs, cooks, and other personnel involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with productivity standards, cost controls, and forecasts needs.
