The Purchasing Specialist at AVI Systems will strategically procure equipment and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining high-quality standards to support the company's operational efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Process daily purchase orders and same-day rush orders acquired from ERP purchasing queue
• Verify master numbers, costs, and item descriptions with price guides
• Substantiate all fields of customer orders before processing purchase orders
• Use existing inventory when available
• Confirm best price, freight terms, and delivery times from identified preferred vendors with the direction of order needs and purchasing department guidelines
• Communicate with internal stakeholders
• Create purchase orders in ERP
• Process purchase orders from purchasing queue
• Submit to Vendor via email or web portal

Requirements to Assure Success:

• 2-year college degree or 3 years of equivalent experience in shared services operations and purchasing/accounting

• Experience and knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Highly process oriented
• Experience with a computerized accounting system, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
