Nemours is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for our Orlando hospital to be part of the nursing education team! The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible for improvement and maintenance of scientifically based clinical nursing care in an area of specialized nursing practice or for specific population. The CNS achieves this by providing direct and indirect care to patients and their families, promoting staff development, disseminating and conducting research and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The CNS serves as an expert consultant to nursing staff and takes an active role in developing better health care delivery systems. The CNS leads the nursing team in treating diseases, injuries and disabilities in a field of specialty. The CNS provides care to individuals, families and groups with complex medical needs in her specific area of clinical expertise.
