In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault, we are seeking a Logistics Analyst III with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols.

Responsibilities:

Experienced Logistics Analyst leads and directs integrated logistics support (ILS) activities designed to provide effective and efficient life cycle support of systems and equipment. Recommends ILS element planning and progress to ensure compliance with program requirements, specifications, and standards analyzes models and optimized distribution networks using advanced logistics software for location of sites, allocation of resources, inventory placement and size, selection of transportation mode, freight consolidation, closed loop tours, continuous moves, shipment to foreign customers, etc. Determines proper logistics support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operation area and other factors such as environmental and human factors. Provides mentorship and guidance to less experienced logistics analysts.

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide logistic management planning and support in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Sustainment requirements of PM AAA platform variants.
  • Possess subject matter expertise in US import and export laws, and requirements for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for the administration of FMS Programs for the DoD.
  • Perform all tasks based upon having the requisite knowledge and experience equivalent to the knowledge and experience required for the Defense Acquisition University Core Certification Standards for Logistics at the Advanced Level.
  • Analyze and interpret technical and financial information relating to USMC acquisition and programs of records while ensuring compliance with applicable acquisition programmatic and financial DoD, Service and Joint Program Office policies, procedures and practices;
  • Maintain configuration control of all Program and Product Support documentation;
  • Identify and execute the logistics support requirements to be included in system level and sub-tier specifications;
  • Provide support for the development of ECPs; develop logistics products, materials and budget estimates for design changes;
  • Attend and support SETRs, support Life Cycle WIPT meetings, supportability assessments and logistics reviews; analyze LCCE;
  • Develop and maintain logistics databases, System Specifications, SEPs, CMPs, Programmatic Environmental documents, Safety and Health Documents, IMPs and IMSs;
  • Review program related documents submitted by the PM AAA platform vendor for compliance and completeness with logistics statutes, policies and standards;
  • Support the development of LMI and perform data entry into authoritative data for applicable PM AAA platform products;
  • Perform support analysis to include, but are not limited to:
    • Provisioning;
    • Depot maintenance and overhaul;
    • Packaging, handling, and transportation
    • Maintenance planning and execution;
    • Design interface;
    • Logistics support analyses; and
    • Technical publications, including operations, maintenance and overhaul.
  • Provide expertise and support to the Government on developing provision planning, actions, procedures, and techniques used to determine supply support requirements, to include: acquiring support items and spare parts; cataloging, receiving, storing, and warehousing; transferring the items to where they are needed; issuing; disposal; initial provisioning support of the weapons system; and acquiring, distributing, and replenishing the inventory for the item;
  • Monitor and update associated data system tools, and analyzing supply and maintenance data using enterprise supply databases (e.g., GCSS-MC);
  • Perform maintenance planning and management to lead the identification of, planning for, resourcing of and implementation of maintenance concepts;
  • Provide recommendation for the correct range and quantity (depth) of spare and repair parts, and support and test equipment required to operate and maintain material end items for an initial period (i.e., 2 years) of service;
  • Provide DMSMS support by participating in DMSMS IPTs and coordinate with their Government representative annual updates of DMSMS Management Plans;
  • Provide general support to assist in fielding the PM AAA platforms, and execute on-site fielding actions;
  • Participate in inventories, inspect equipment and associated parts and tool lists for damage and completeness, and prepare vehicles for delivery to the using unit or facility. The Contractor shall also track and update documentation related to the turnover of equipment from vendors to the Government, validate TMs; and
  • Record the meeting minutes IAW CDRL A001 and submit the minutes and the progress reports to the Government representative.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelors Degree with eight (8) years of related progressive professional work experience in Life-Cycle Logistics planning and management with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in at least two directly related technological areas, including experience in all phases of logistics acquisition and logistics planning.

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
