Manage all aspects of the company's financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll.
Perform daily accounting operations, including posting transactions, maintaining the chart of accounts, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping for all construction projects
Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders with receipts, and ensure timely payment to vendors and subcontractors.
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash flow
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing, progress billing, and retainage.
Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks)
Intermediate Excel
Accounting Knowledge:
Familiarity with GAAP and specialized construction accounting standards.
Understanding of AIA billing, progress billings, and retainage processes.
