Position Summary:

The Material Handler role consists of working independently, sorting inventory merchandise with a focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Be able to read and understand packing slips/manifests
• Will inspect and measure rolls of fabric
• Follow instructions/directions from supervisor or fellow employees
• Load and unload rolls of material from pallets/trucks
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience using RF handheld scanners preferred
• Must be able to lift-up to 80 lbs
• Must be able to stand and walk 8 hours per day
• Basic language communication skills
• Capacity to work independently or within a team environment and follow direction
• Warehouse experience is a plus but not required for consideration.
• Use basic math skills (arithmetic)
• Know how to use a ruler/yardstick

Physical Requirements:

• Positional: Constant to frequent standing and walking. Rare sitting.
• Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.
• Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Frequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking.
