Position Description:

Adena Lakeland - Industrial Mechanic

Summary:

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery. This includes pumps, motors, conveyors, gear boxes, and more. The Industrial Mechanic will check the performance, clean, lubricate, diagnose, and test damaged machine parts to determine the necessary repairs.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to Construction equipment and machinery

• Dismantle equipment when required and reassemble : Pumps, motors, conveyors, gear boxes

• Move equipment to the appropriate site for repair or maintenance

• Create solid foundations for machines on-site

• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts

• Grind and file machinery parts onsite

• Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment

• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

•Ability to read specifications, tape measures, and blueprints

•Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner

•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

•Welding experience is a plus

•Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the role

•Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

•Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistence

•Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions

•Ability to work in a team environment

•Excellent communication skills

Additional Notes:

•Must have the ability to work nights, holidays and/or weekends when required

•Must be available for “Call Out”, “Emergency,” and “Outage” work

•Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid, and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust

•Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays away from home
