Job Description:



We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Scientist who loves to solve complex problems and has experience creating, optimizing, and deploying Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions, with direct experience building products using LLMs, Generative AI, Semantic Search, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

We are looking for a talented AI/ML Scientist to join our team to build ML and NLP based solutions to deliver intelligent features into our products. As a Senior AI/ML Scientist, you will help develop and apply innovative solutions to make traditionally slow, rote, and ultra-high stakes workflows efficient, while maintaining and instilling customer trust. You will provide the technical expertise required to develop and deploy AI technologies that are central to building a deep moat for an indelible brand in M&A. You will build technology that the smartest minds in finance will rely upon every day. Your work will be highly visible to the executive team and will inform the strategic direction of the company.


In this role, you will:




  • Apply industry-leading standards to AI solutions tailored to our sophisticated, high-stakes customer base.

  • Build and deploy AI solutions leveraging LLMs, Generative AI, Semantic Search, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

  • Collaborate closely with members of the AI/ML Team and Product Managers to deliver impactful customer solutions.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Build and deploy AI solutions that make document review, document organization, and Q&A processes more efficient.

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to create solution requirements and development timelines.

  • Develop new AI models and algorithms that power foundational products within Datasite.

  • Optimize existing AI models.

  • Build, validate, and deploy solutions that meet high standards of accuracy and reliability tailored to customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and MLOPs to ensure successful solution deployment and implementation of critical, ongoing Production monitoring and alerting.




Qualifications:



  • 5+ years hands on experience building AI solutions with Python.

  • 2+ years building solutions with a Semantic Search component.

  • Experience building RAG-based solutions.

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or related field.

  • Experience building RAG-based solutions.

  • Experience improving Semantic Search results through the use of techniques like re-ranker models and the HyDE methodology, for example.

  • Experience building and deploying AI/ML applications on large scale unstructured text data using Deep Learning, Transformers, and LLMs.

  • Experience developing AI solutions from ideation and EDA through implementation.

  • Expert in Python Deep Learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch).

  • Experience implementing AI workflows on Azure or other major cloud platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions that enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.

  • Natural inclination to seek understanding of customers, consider business context, and learn from shipping code.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to interact with internal/external clients/customers in a professional manner.

  • Ability to rapidly acquire new domain knowledge.



The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate's compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.


Salary range $125k - 215k
