Purpose



The incumbent is responsible for all areas related to the Refugee Support Services program for families. This position is accountable for managing all aspects of these programs as dictated by its corresponding agreements, manual, and guidelines.



Responsibilities




Essential Duties:



  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the RSS Program including case management, employee supervision, training, and all necessary documentation related to the program.

  • Works closely with the Program Manager and Associate Director in preparing program budgets and reviewing expenses, providing regular updates about staff supervision, and helps case managers for troubleshooting challenging concerns.

  • Performs outreach in the community, when necessary, to ensure program goals are met.

  • Ensure all program forms are up to date and in compliance.

  • Co-leads or leads regular staff meetings to discuss program developments, current problems, and program updates and guidelines.

  • Provide training to program staff to ensure that the programs are in compliance with its guidelines and procedures.

  • Build networks/maintain relationships with local organizations, resettlement agencies and faith-based partners involved with provision of service for refugees and immigrants.

  • Work closely with staff to promote a high level of professionalism; provision of client-oriented service; good stewardship and teamwork.

  • Ensure the timely submission of program related reports.

  • Represents CWS at national and local meetings as appropriate.

  • Perform other related duties as requested.




Qualifications




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in case management in a human services organization, preferably working with immigrant and refugee populations.

  • Mininum of 2 years of supervisory experience

  • Familiarity with US immigration issues and terminology, Familiarity with immigration documentation as it relates to refugees, Cuban/Haitian Entrants and Asylees etc. A minimum of five years' work experience is preferred.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Able to give close attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential client and financial information.

  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required.

  • Bilingual in English and either Spanish, Dari, Arabic, Pashto, Haitian Creole, or Ukrainian preferred.
