Strategy & Planning Senior Manager




What can you expect?



  • The Strategy & Planning team supports Marsh's COO agenda, looking for new opportunities for efficiencies and for shaping the overall strategy of the North American region


  • Positioned within the Global Operations team, this position will focus on continued evolution and refinement of a multi-year global transformation strategy


  • You will develop and align plans to increase operational efficiency and help meet organizational strategic vision to achieve financial goals


  • You will do upfront analysis with the goal of helping to shape overall strategy of the region in areas such as hiring & staffing efficiencies, large-scale technical initiatives, and identifying cost-saving opportunities


  • This position is responsible for planning and development efforts or initiatives of a high nature of complexity, requiring the use of financial models to look at complex work and understanding business case work

We will count on you to:



  • Manage multiple projects throughout the planning lifecycle, overseeing all aspects of complex projects, from start to finish, so that projects are completed on schedule


  • Provide research, analysis, and recommendations on the external environment (competitors, industries, legislation, changing patterns of competition, trends, etc.) as part of the development of strategic plans


  • Identify strategic issues and research requirements for existing and new business


  • Develop, present, and implement global, regional, and functional business case recommendations and tactical/operational strategies based on analysis of global and industry trends, organization objectives, and key stakeholders


  • Identify and analyze organization strengths, weaknesses, and business opportunities to advise management and optimize business strategies across a global platform, leveraging metrics analytics to better understand synergies across regions


  • Prepare and assist in presenting issues of significant importance to senior management





What you need to have:



  • 10+ years Management Consulting, or similar experience


  • 5+ years Project Management experience, with the proven ability to work with various stakeholders and team members across business units, as well as experience in various functional areas such as technology, communications, finance, human resources, legal & compliance, etc.


  • Subject matter expertise in Strategy & Planning, with experience managing large projects or processes that help create, drive, and sustain regional or global strategies


  • Experience analyzing financial models and making business case recommendations based on that analysis


  • Strong presentation skills with thought leadership experience and executive presence

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.


The applicable base salary range for this role is $105,900 to $226,000.


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
