Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work from specifications and instructions.

  • Prepares and mixes powder and other coating materials to math standardized colors, consistencies, and viscosities for spray finish coatings on a variety of parts and products varying in size and configurations.

  • Check pressures, adjust air flow of any powder pots, making sure drying even temperature and conveyor speed are set according to area to be covered, viscosities and changing atmospheric conditions.

  • Clean guns, nozzles, and equipment with proper solvents or other cleaning materials, change nozzles as required, and prepare surfaces for coating as necessary.

  • When working in rotation, loads and unloads parts on conveyor system checking for defects or damaged parts, check coating finish for proper baking and appearance to meet quality standards.

  • Places prescribed protective material between and around parts into containers to ensure that finishes are not marred.

  • In Prep Area, clean and prepare any parts which are necessary for finishing processes.

  • Checks and maintains all solution levels needed to maintain a high quality for finished products.

  • Takes samples and performs calculations for prep tank titration.

  • Closes and releases demand flow items to production.

  • Uses the computer for writing up non-conforming material and cycle counts.

  • Operates and maintains the automated paint system.

  • Follow safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:


  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to use hand and power tools and other material handling

  • Ability to use a computer and web based

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow verbal/written work instructions.

  • Ability to perform work safely and follow safety policies/rules and follow safety policies/rules and regulations
